When on the road I have had to try, "The others." When I can schedule maintenance I have it done by Jones Automotive Center in Monmouth, IL, and have done so for over three years.
I took my truck there for a tire repair. They ended up finding a nail in it. They installed a plug in the tire, aired it back up, and charged me $15. For a Plug! I'm not opposed to using plugs, but I could have plugged it myself for $0.25. I took it to a professional because the professional thing to do would be to dismount the tire from the wheel and use a patch - or charge a fair price for installing a plug!. If they can't handle a simple tire repair without cutting corners I think I'll find a different shop for the big stuff.
